Ladies and gentlemen, this English side didn't have what it takes to go all the way
While the UK media did a great job of propping up the English side in the run up to the 2010 World Cup, nothing but the results can speak for their performance. That anyone genuinely thought England could lift the World Cup this year, is a testament to how members of the media can sway public opinion on things one wouldn’t usually give a second thought to were one to calmly focus on the facts instead.
I’ll get straight to it, here are four signs that went unnoticed by Englands Coaching Staff and its fans, who blindly followed England to this world cup only to be disappointed with their result:
A little more than a week after buying the iPad, I returned it to Apple. The problem wasn’t the iPad exactly, though it has some flaws. The problem was me.
I like technology, but I’m not an early adopter. I waited for the second-generation iPod, the second-generation iPhone, and the second-generation MacBook Air.
But the iPad was different. So sleek. So cool. So transformational. And, I figured, since it’s so similar to the iPhone, most of the kinks would already be worked out.
So at 4 PM on the day the 3G iPad was released, for the first time in my life, I waited in line for two hours to make a purchase.

Google’s Street View car captured the first kiss between teenage lovebirds in Staffordshire, England, then the intimate moment appeared on the web for all to see. Now CNET has discovered that the image has been replaced by one that’s blank save for the words “This image is no longer available.”
The Daily Mail reported that the teens are Hayley Moss and Eddie Bateman — and that they’re still together several months after the photo was taken. That’s an impressive feat for teenagers.
There’s been no indication as to why the image was removed.
I lay back in the chair, closed my eyes, and almost immediately felt my body relax. An instant later a stream of warm water rinsed through my hair while strong, competent hands massaged my scalp. For that moment my stress disappeared, washed away with the water.

Abigail Clancy, engaged to Peter Crouch
Abigail Clancy began dating Peter Crouch when he signed with Liverpool. Ranked 10th place in FHM magazine’s 2010 list of 100 sexiest women, she is also a lingerie and catwalk model. During the 2006 World Cup, Abby allegedly cheated on Crouch with an ex-boyfriend and was also accused of taking cocaine. Crouch dumped her but the pair got back again soon after, and announced their engagement in July 2009.
Federal officials have arrested an Army intelligence analyst who boasted of giving classified U.S. combat video and hundreds of thousands of classified State Department records to whistleblower site Wikileaks, Wired.com has learned.
SPC Bradley Manning, 22, of Potomac, Maryland, was stationed at Forward Operating Base Hammer, 40 miles east of Baghdad, where he was arrested nearly two weeks ago by the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division. A family member says he’s being held in custody in Kuwait, and has not been formally charged.
Manning was turned in late last month by a former computer hacker with whom he spoke online. In the course of their chats, Manning took credit for leaking a headline-making video of a helicopter attack that Wikileaks posted online in April. The video showed a deadly 2007 U.S. helicopter air strike in Baghdad that claimed the lives of several innocent civilians.
